I love cats so so much and I cannot fathom people hurting one. So glad you gave him a good six months. 🫶🏻😘🥹

Thanks, Elaine! Yes, it was a bittersweet few months. 🤍

My husband and I have a geriatric cat we inherited from my late father and we are so so obsessed with him that we can’t even imagine the heartbreak that’s to come so I fully understand. 🥰 it’s such a lovely thing to love a creature so much and for them to give joy. Not sure if you have the time or schedule for a new cat but maybe one day again. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

**well, we can imagine which is the problem so we try and cherish all the time we have left.

This cat was also geriatric, 11 years old, and with so many health issues. It's been a real blessing, though, more than I ever thought. We do have another younger cat in the backyard and she does put up with all the love spilling over now. 🥰 Enjoy yours!

Wow, you've had quite the year!

I'm glad to read about your discoveries, and I'm looking forward to reading your book.

Loving and caring for an animal is always a bittersweet experience, but life-changing. I'm glad you got to experience it, glad for the cat too.

Thanks, John! Yes, quite the year, that's why I didn't write so much here on Substack...

It was definitely a bittersweet experience with the cat, and I regret nothing of it. Pets give you something no human can, that's my conclusion, at least so far.

I hope you had a good year, John!
